M1441 was one of two (a third was planned but ultimately never delivered) Mk 2 MCWs delivered to London Transport.  At that time, London was the only operator still having the Mk 1 style delivered new (a situation which continued for a further two years).  Privatised to Arriva, she was purchased in May 2001.  In July 2003, she was placed on long term loan to Ensign, where she was used with their franchises at Stratford and Cambridge.  April 2007 saw her purchased outright by Ensign.
