MBS444 was acquired for preservation by Stuart Boxall and a friend in November 2009.

She has now been moved to Routemaster Buses in Cheshire for restoration.  It retains many of its original fixtures and fittings and will be preserved as it was delivered in 1966 to Merton garage for operation on new route M1.
