Former West Yorkshire Scania Metropolitan 644 was the subject of a failed rescue bid in the late 1990s.  It was in very original condition.  However, it had suffered major corrosion problems and although drove well, we sold it to Grettons of Peterborough for spares, as they still operated this type of vehicle.
