T684 (OHV 684Y) was delivered new to London Transport in February 1983, and was sent to Chiswick experimental department before finding a home at Sidcup (SP) garage, where it worked alongside regular Titans and a batch of MCW Metros on direct comparison trials. After various transfers within London Transport, the vehicle was eventually privatised with Stagecoach East London.
T684 has just been newly MOT'd in good time for the 2012 rally season.

Stagecoach later single-doored the vehicle and she eventually settled down to work in the North West, around the Lancaster/Morecambe area.
The bus was bought for preservation by Karl Griffin in February 2008, as his father was a driver at Sidcup and drove the vehicle when it was new. It was then loaned to Griffin Bus, Longfield (no relation) for them to operate and maintain while Karl made plans for its eventual restoration.

Once Griffin Bus had finished with it, it was returned to Karl for restoration back to LT condition. He used London Bus & Truck in Northfleet for the re-installation of the rear doors and re-painting into LT colours.

Since the above picture was taken, a side blind has been refitted to the front nearside window and London Transport roundels and fleet numbers fitted. T684 made its rally debut at Showbus 2009 and should now be a regular on the rally scene.
